The Fair Practices Department was established by AFGE in 1968.

Ms. Martin-Gross serves as the catalyst for issues affecting women throughout the District and is the co-chair of the Human Rights Committee. Yvette provides support, information and training to AFGE members.
AFGE is a leader among unions which recognize the importance of fair practices and women’s issues.
